Defender is a new concept in fire retardant underclothing - designed to give the maximum possible additional protection (along with your normal protective outerwear) but at the same time the level of comfort and quality you'd expect from top quality sportswear.Available in three performance grades, Lightweight, Padded and Padded Plus, these socks all feauture advanced Ridgeview technology.

The Team
Vincent O'Regan - Director - Production and Development.Vincent commenced employment with Ridgeview in 1990. Prior to his appointment Vincent held a selection of senior management positions at both Burlington/Klopman and Pretty Polly. Vincent brought invaluable production experience. He has also ensured we undertake the new product development to maintain Ridgeview's position at the 'leading edge' of the hosiery industry.
Richard Knights - Director - Sales and Marketing.
Richard joined Ridgeview Ltd. in 1998. Prior to commencing employment in Ridgeview, Richard was a senior national account manager with a Sport Sock Co.and a buyer for 2 years with Sainsburys. Based in the UK, Richard is responsible for all sales and marketing activities. Richard holds an Honours Degree in Economics.

Gearoid Kilgallen - Director - Operations.
Gearoid joined Ridgeview in 1998, he came from CADCO ltd. where he worked as a computer trainer/consultant. Gearoid also holds an Honours Business degree and is a professional of the institute of industrial engineers. He is responsible for all production and logistics.

Portugal MFA
Manuel Fernando Azevedo (MFA) have been working with Ridgeview since 1999.
The factory was founded by a father and son in 1995 and recently became a public listed company and has undertaken several joint ventures with Ridgeview including the relocation of 60 machines from Ireland to Portugal.
MFA specialises in sport and soccer socks and has customers such as Rohner, JJB (UK), Decathlon, Head and Damart. In total MFA has over 120 machines, employing 120 staff and recently moved to a purpose built 60,000 sq.ft site.
In addition the purchase of the new finishing plant in Olivier de Frates has greatly improved the options for wet finishing and packing. Over 60 personnel are employed at this site.
